Masons arms, Bishop Monkton
Distance - 2 min drive / 15 min walk
This is our local a mile away in next village. The south facing sitting out area at the front of the pub overlooks the brook which runs through the village. Expect a very friendly welcome, if there is a match on they will be showing it. Sunday lunch is wonderful and just like Grandma used to make.
YORKSHIRE HUSSAR INN
Distance - 6 min drive
Super dog friendly, relaxed environment with lovely food and great hand pulled ales. The food is lovely but we do not rate the pizzas.
THE GALPHAY INN
Distance - ? min drive
Extra dog friendly, lovely people, very busy place, but relaxed and the food is fabulous – the seafood platter is lovely, as is the caramel sundae.
The Royale Oak, Burton Leonard
Distance - 10 min drive
About 3 miles away in the delightful village of Burton Leonard. Look at website for dining times.
Black a Moor Inn, ripon
Distance - 10 min drive
The food is really good here and only 3 miles from our farm. We have recently had their roast beef Sunday lunch and it was the best we’ve tasted for a long time. Try and get a seat in the cosy restaurant. Otherwise the bar area is great as well. In the summer you can sit out and enjoy excellent homemade sandwiches and guest beers.
The Wild swan, Minskip
Distance - 10 min drive
Minskip is about 4 miles away from our farm. Lovely food and nice atmosphere.
The Malt Shovel, Brearton
Distance - 15 min drive
This 16th century coaching Inn is only 4 miles from the farm. If you look at their website they have suggested walks around the Mount Garrett private estate which is a lovely area with gentle walking along footpaths and fields. I recommend doing one of the walks to build up a hearty appetite. They don’t mind you parking in their car park before the walk. Closed Mondays. Their website has the walk route on it.
